We’ve used a light-weight 100% cotton seersucker gingham, perfect for summer, in bold clashing colour combinations for this style.  All our shirts are pre-washed.  This extra step means you don’t have to worry about shrinkage. 
You can iron it—but a wrinkled Jane looks even better.  Wash in cold water and hang to dry. You’re good to go.
